About
Thank you for visiting my website. I’m Nick Jarman, an all-round software developer from Berkshire in the UK with interests in:
- Web application development
- Interaction design
- Image processing
- Windows software development
I’ve been writing software since I first got my hands on a BBC Micro in 1983. I’ve worked with Basic, 6502 assembly, ARM assembly, Ada, Lisp, C, C++, and PHP on platforms such as Windows, Mac OS, Risc OS, DOS and Unix.
I design software, too. I created ideas and designs for the majority of Pixology’s products from 1995 to 2003. I also invented a method of automatically removing red-eye from digital photos - Pixology IRISS - which won a BCS Technology Award in 2003.
Some of my other interests include product design, graphic design, architecture, motorsport and digital photography - all of which could influence the contents of this site!
